Hi! I’m Beth Rabinowitz. I’m a writer and editor for companies and organizations that work in the fields of health, education, and children’s welfare.

I help my clients develop publications that connect with their audiences and tell their story, identify and fill in gaps, get rid of the fluff, and do all of that in plain English.

How I do this is by collaborating with each client to deliver high-level editing combined with a scrub and polish. This ensures every publication conveys the intended message and has the impact the client wants it to have, every single time.

After working with me, my clients

  • Win contracts and receive grants

  • Produce uniform and consistent branding across their company communications

  • Increase teaching, training and technical assistance, and stakeholder engagement

  • Deliver case studies and reports that result in practice or policy improvements.

We're a Good Fit if

  • You need to produce a gazillion documents regularly and you don't have enough writing experts on your team.

  • You're passionate about your organization's work and mission.

  • You want to feel assured that the content you deliver speaks to your audiences, fulfills its purpose, and represents your company’s mission and objectives every single time.

What I Believe

  • The best communications spring from the power of teamwork and passion, knowledge, and dedication to learning as much as possible about the subject matter.

  • When all your publications are clear, simple, and aligned with their objective, you'll become known as the experts and go-to people in your field.

  • Creativity is underrated. It pays off in spades to consider fresh ways to tell your story. Less text on a page is often more. Visuals enhance the message of your words, pique interest, and aid comprehension.

How I Got To Where I Am

The first decade of my career I cut my teeth in well-established D.C. area government consulting firms. I not only learned the nuts and bolts of consulting, I had endless opportunities to work on multiple teams to write, edit, and manage increasingly complex editorial projects. For a wide spectrum of government agencies and private organizations.

During the next decade-plus, while blending motherhood with work, I have operated my own business. My mission became to focus on the work I am most passionate about: health, education, and children’s welfare. It’s simply part of my blood.

My Promise

When you collaborate with me, you get an editor who has your back.

I stand in the shoes of your audiences and ask the tough questions right off the bat, to help you deliver the exact product you want.

My brand of editing is to do whatever it takes—within your budget—to chase information, fact-check, interview, and report, as necessary to ensure your copy achieves its intended objectives.

My Credentials

  • B.A. in literature from Boston University

  • Several courses toward a public relations certificate program at George Washington University

  • Cornell University, Nutrition and Healthy Living Certificate, July 2021

Life Outside Work

When I’m not behind a desk juggling deadlines, I am outdoors every chance I get: walking, swimming, exploring the city with friends, and tending to my tiny garden.

I’m a born-again cook who likes to transform comfort food into healthy dishes. All bets are off when it comes to dark chocolate or pumpkin-anything.

Through the years, I’ve been passionate about my gigs tutoring young children in reading and writing. Without a doubt, my greatest joy, responsibility, and privilege is being a mom to a fantastic young adult daughter. The bonus member of the family is Nala, our Shih Tzu, who follows us wherever we go.

What My Clients Say

I love working with Beth. She takes the time to understand the diverse content she edits for me and always provides substantive and helpful feedback. She also highlights areas where more information might be helpful. Even after her initial edits, she is always available to do a quick back-and-forth before I finalize a document.
